SLWebCast hosted its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, 19th of June 2022 at Worx SL, Jawatta House, Colombo. The AGM adopted the organization’s strategies and proposals, progress of the team, projects that were implemented and the projects that are upcoming. The members in the gathering had their ideas exchanged, votes shared, questions poised and encompassed the highlights in the Annual Report of SL WebCast.
This meeting, chaired by the Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Abdul Thawwab Ishaque , was also an opportunity to recognize the contributions and efforts of dedicated members in the organization.
The “Best Article of the Year 2022” was awarded to Dilmi Gunasekara for her diligence in composing her article titled, ‘Ukraine Today’.
Raihaan Ihsan, Shimla Wakeel and Rumeth Dasanayake were praised and awarded as the top three resolute and hardworking individuals of the present year for their volunteerism.
The AGM was concluded by the discussion of future targets of SL WebCast and to set forth the objectives of them.
The meeting which adopted a hybrid setting, was conducted online as well, for the members who couldn’t attend in person. As always concerned about the environment, We SL WebCast adhered to a paperless precept for the entirety of the meeting while electronic devices were favored as the replacement.
