On May 19th, the spirit of Avurudu was alive at Udahamulla Siddhartha Vidyalaya as AIESEC in the University of Colombo hosted “Avurudu with CC.” Despite heavy morning rain, which forced us to move indoors, the event became a remarkable celebration of unity and innovation. The sudden change in venue could have posed a significant challenge, but as the saying goes, “late is better than never.” Determined not to let the weather ruin the festivities, our team, with unwavering support from all participants, adapted quickly to the new circumstances.
What could have been a bleak day turned into a vibrant celebration thanks to the collective effort and enthusiasm of everyone involved. The indoor setup buzzed with energy as attendees embraced the change with open hearts. The transition showcased our community’s resilience and the true spirit of Avurudu. To add colour and fun, we introduced innovative games. These activities not only entertained but also brought participants closer, fostering camaraderie and shared joy. Traditional Avurudu games took on a new twist, creating memorable experiences for all attendees.
