AIESEC in the University of Kelaniya proudly wrapped up the highly anticipated HackVenture 1.0, celebrating a remarkable journey of technological innovation and collaboration. After an intense semi-final on the 10th of August 2024, where 30 promising teams competed, the most innovative 10 teams advanced to the grand finals.
The grand finals, held on the 24th of August 2024 at the Faculty of Computing and Technology, University of Kelaniya, brought together these top teams along with industry professionals for a day filled with innovation, knowledge sharing, and networking. The event was powered by CICRA Campus, the most trusted cybersecurity education provider in Sri Lanka, known for offering guaranteed internships and opening doors to numerous job opportunities in leading business conglomerates across the country.
In addition to CICRA Campus as the title partner, HackVenture 1.0 was supported by several other key partners including, a leading IT infrastructure and cloud services provider, ACL Cables PLC, Virtusa, Generation Alpha, GDG Sri Lanka, Slasscom, Print House and Territory London.
The Grand Finals culminated with three main awards, recognizing the top-performing teams. The Championship, Runners-Up, 2nd Runners-Up positions were claimed by Team Enigmatics from Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), Team DevDynasty from the University of Moratuwa, Team Synaptics from the University of Moratuwa respectively.
Additionally, special awards were presented to, Team DevDynasty from the University of Moratuwa (Most Innovative Team), Team Tech Titans from NSBM (Most Engaging Team), Team Tera Titans from the University of Kelaniya (Most Popular Team).
These well-deserving victories showcased the boudless possibilities and potential that the forthcoming Sri Lankan generations has, emphasizing the importance of continuous supports towards their innovations.
HackVenture 1.0 was not just a competition but a celebration of technological ingenuity, filled with opportunities for learning and collaboration.
